Weekend Rendezvous

The weekend was a peaceful one rather than happening. With Hui and Rayner, we checked out a restaurant along Pasir Panjang Road – Bistro One Zero Three. Thanks to the man’s recommendation. :) Heh, he is quite the foodie.

It was a little remote, and is right beside the relatively well known Manhill Restaurant. From the outside, the place look quite 不起眼, but the interiors were really homely and the Christmas deco puts you right in the mood. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a shot of the store front and interior. But here are the fooooooood pics!

My order of Pan Fried Norwegian Salmon. The salmon was really fresh and tasted real sweet. The sauce was kind of tangy which makes it a perfect complement to the fish. Yums!

My man ordered Asiatic Clams Spaghetti in aglio olio style. The clams were really fresh too and tasted 'like the sea'. The best part was the pasta itself was infused with the taste of the clams and mushrooms. Making the whole dish really flavourful.

Desserts!!! We ordered the Warm Chocolate Brownie with French Vanilla Ice-cream and a Mocha Panna Cotta. I think I have never enjoyed chocolate so much! Ha. The panna cotta was delicious - I expected it to be real sweet but it was... simply delicious. Ha.

We spent about $25 dollars each with drinks and considering the quality of the food, this is money well spent! Would definitely recommend this place to everyone. We are even thinking of organising a proper Christmas dinner there as well!

Oh yes, being Italian cuisine, the place has a quite a variety of wine as well. Perfect for those who like to pair their food with alcohol. And the best part is the owners are friendly and the place simply exudes a cosy atmosphere. You just don’t feel like leaving. :)

And all this puts me in such a Christmas mood that I have to do this!
