What major is right for you? (this comes a little too late)

Stumbled upon this quiz to determine which major is right for you and thought that I should just give it a try. It’s too late anyway, considering I would be graduating with a communications degree in less than 4 months.

It funny, because just this morning, my bestie and I were daydreaming about how nice it would be to be able to spend some time in the UK or US studying art history and philosophy.

Bestie:

Just daydreaming. but wouldn’t it be nice to study art history or philosophy? if only I am rich.

Me:
Ya man! Art history and philosophy is a rich-man’s daughter’s major! there is probably nothing much relevant that you can do with that, except maybe to teach. But it would be nice!

Bestie:
Oh yes. Then you will graduate and probably marry a rich man’s son and become a tai tai. At social events you can just say that you have a double degree in art history and philosophy and people would not see you as a bimbo like Pa*** (famous socialite).

Me:
Probably. Once I earn enough money, i will run away to UK to do it.

Bestie:
me too!

And i think i just might. sometimes, i think i can be quite bimbotic and erratic.

Anyway, back to the quiz.

A similar and probably more scientific quiz that I took in school 2 years ago revealed that I should be in the health and medical careers while communications came in second. This time round, languages came in first and communications is like 6th! oh well. and once again, math is my Achilles heel.

still, we should not let some online quiz determine what we should pursue in life.

too late to be engaged in self-doubt. at least my degree would allow me to work in varied industries.
